I haven't posted specific details yet. The project is barely a week old. Design is still taking place. But you can be sure that I will be posting project information soon. I'll be posting the details on www.cabalgames.com within the next couple of weeks.
So I've been looking for a good concept artist, and my friend kept telling me that his girlfriend was really good. I kind of thought he might be full of shit. Well, I had her do a few concept sketches of the player ship model from my design document and he wasn't lying. She's pretty friggin good. She put on paper almost exactly what was in my head. I love it when things come together like that.
I'm nearly finished with the game design. My next tasks are (in order), test case document, art bible, sound bible, and then on to the business plan. Plus assisting any team member that needs help with basically anything. The Software Development Survival Guide is starting to pay off. What a great book.
Speaking of books. I recently red John Hattan's Review of The Game Producer's Handbook. I think I might have to pick that up.
