The Discovery has launched.

It's always been my favourite shuttle; It is currently the oldest spacecraft in use, and holds the record for the most launches of a single spacecraft (this is its 31st launch), though Columbia had more orbits, distance, and time in space.

Shuttle Flights Days Orbits Miles
Columbia 28 300.74 4,808 125,204,911
Challenger 10 62.41 995 25,803,940
Discovery 30 241.95 3,808 98,710,673
Atlantis 26 220.40 3,468 89,908,732
Endeavour 19 206.60 3,259 85,072,077

On launch, they experience an upwards accelleration of 29.4m/s^2, or roughly 3G's. Wheeee!
