This is the first screenshot of a battle in my game. As you can see, I've made the units smaller as to have a better game scale. I've also added life bars on the units. I also fixed a massive bug in the input system.

Is it a free-range movement base, or is it tile-based movement? If it's tile based, I can't tell where the grid is at all.

It is actually free-range movement. I decided to go with this system over a tile based system because I want the game to have the feel of a tabletop strategy game.

Cool, are there going to be more than 1 type of unit, or will it be like an advanced game of checkers?

There will be tanks, snipers, helicopters, planes, and other types of units added soon.
