I've barely touched my engine in 2 weeks or so. I've had another thing enter my life. I don't even know why I'm posting. I don't know if I'll continue my 4e4 project, but at least my engine is at a good stopping place. It loads and renders models and stuff, so at least it works.

I've been wondering, what is Toronto like? Is there lots of public transportation there so that you can get around without a car? (I'm afraid mine won't take the weather) What are some good places to see? Where's a good place to take a girl there? What parts of the year are relatively warm and snow free? I've heard canada has 2 seasons: Winter and June :)

PS: Betcha anything Rob Loach will answer this one :)

In my opinion, very nice and clean. Too hot for my likings right now, but that's just me.

The public transportation is very nicely put together. It takes about 20 minutes to get downtown from my house (it would take the same amount of time in a car). It costs $2 to travel anywhere in the city or $90 for a monthly pass that allows you to take it as much as you want. Subways are pretty clean and the staff are jokes.

CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum, Skydome (baseball and stuff), Science Centre, China Town (there are some places that sell DVDs for $3 each), The Beaches (it's legal for woman to be topless), walk down Yonge Street (downtown), Eaton Centre (big mall), etc. The people are nice, just ask them!

It's SOOO hot right now (35 degrees + humidity). Usually it gets cold from November to March and then it's really hot for the rest of the year. Now == Girls in skirts.

There... happy? Now move here and join GDNet Toronto [smile].

Haha, sure I'll do that, but I can imagine what the members of my group would do if they found out that I committed this heresy [smile].

And are you joking about 35 degrees + humidity? Or do Canadians use celsius, I'm a fahrenheit guy myself :)

The people are nice you say? I've got a friend from Massachusets who says that the farther you go north, the meaner the people get, especially to tourists.

Toronto people are very nice. Strangely especially nice to the homeless people it seems...
