Been doing stuff

I've been doing a lot of things at work lately so I haven't been able to concentrate on game design. However, I have become pretty partial to C++ and OOP. It's been very fun to learn and design with and I find it more time consuming than what I am usually accustomed too. I'm even trying a little UML.

I'm using the following (non game oriented) books:

Visual C++ .Net 2003
Essential C++ (highly recommended)
Effective C++
More Effective C++
C++ Primer

Though I haven't messed around with templates and other neat ideas, I at least know what they are now. Anyway, hopefully I can pull something out of my time machine so I can write a simple game in less than a month.
