Hey everyone,

Well, good news today, I fixed(sorta) the problem where the game would crash when you loaded a level twice. Turns out the game was crashing when it tried to delete a certain variable, I couldn't figure out wh yit crashed, so I just commented out the delete. This did create a memory leak, but it's minor, so it shouldn't be that much of a problem until I can fix it completely.

I sat down in my CS class and decided to write a new level editor, and I finished it in 1 hour. It's pretty much the level class from A20 just with some added functions to change tile types, its really simple. It still looks like shit, but it's a step in the right direction, and now we can start pumping out levels for the campaign!!

We're hoping to upload the new version tomorrow night, but it may be really late because I work tomorrow until midnight.

In other news, we changed the HUD again to show you both your primary and secondary weapons status simultaneously. We also tweaked the smoke and particle emitters so that the emitters looked like fire and the smoke.... well we didn't mess with the smoke[grin].



Mark is working on some mission specific tiles now, and he should start work on the next tileset any time soon.


On a completely unrelated note: I can't believe that there are people in New Orleans actually shooting at rescue helicopters and policemen trying to save people after Hurricane Katrina. I think that if the military choppers or police come under fire, they should fire right back and take out the little bastards who are trying to fuck everything up for everyone else.
