I love your work :)

I've always believed that procedural generation of game assets is a good thing. I also think it's the only way for next-generation games to go - to get something to look realistic requires a huge amount of work and time by an artist...

I look forward to the day I can wander through a forest in a game world and notice that each tree and blade of grass is different :)

That day is near: Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is coming out in November (unless the date has changed). ^_^

OK, so all I've seen are screenshots and videos (meaning I didn't get to play the E3 demo, or even go), but from what I've seen, it's amazing. Back on topic, though: Ysaneya, your game could give Legend of Zelda a run for its money, :D

EDIT: So many typoes... o.o

Doh! If you want me to edit my post in the IOTD to remove comment about there being a movie, just let me know.

No, why would i want that? In case you hadn't noticed, i mentionned it myself in the IOTD's description, and in my journal :)

So is this going to get to the point where web-server administrators across the world fear the "GDNet effect" in the same way that they fear being "/.'ed" ? [lol]

Nah, i think it's not yet on the same scale. But to give you an idea, i got approximately 15 Gb/day during the short period i was featured as an IOTD.

Puh.. thats quite a lot,
expecially considering that there
is no demo yet :-)

I also played a bit with the Minad Tirith
demo. 75 MB is quite large and I tried to
compress it using 7zip (www.7zip.org).
59 MB instead of 75, self-extracting archive :-).
So this might be an option if you want to
save on bandwidth.

Thanks for the 7Zip-tip :)
I uploaded a new demofile, saves quite a lot of traffic indeed.
We've had 12gb traffic for the demo only yesterday.... the increment is not as explosive as on Ysaneya's account though :)
