So I got a heads-up today that Visual Studio 2005 has been finished and released. Tried downloading it but all sorts of craziness insued. Seems like it's killing even Microsoft's bandwidth [lol]

Might well have an exciting weekend and see how badly I can break my development tools (again) by installing new ones.

Oh, and the bonus question: I now have FIVE computer mice. I can't seem to plug them all in at the same time ([sad]) - so what would you do with the 4 spare ones?

You can put them on the floor, at a fixed distance from each other. Then you switch off the light. Wait one or two minutes, and then switch on the lights.

If any mouse moved during the light was off, RUN AWAY QUICKLY!

You can also try to sell them on ebay - it is far less dangerous :)

You could use the controllers to make a mechanical VR suit. You could probably get head rotation by putting one at the back of your skull. [grin]

Go to icculus.org, they have a driver or something for the big three OSes that lets you use many mice at once. [grin]

I am somewhat confused as to why I'd want many mice at the same time. Will I get a schizophrenic mouse that randomly chooses what direction to go in? Do I need 5 hands to handle all 5 mice at the same time?

I'm not that clever [wink]

Alas, 3 of the 5 have big stickers on to stop me from re-selling [headshake]

Cheers,

Sir, I would imagine it is for games, so you can play multiplayer games by giving each user their own mouse or something.

You've got four limbs (unless you've had a nasty accident that I don't know about), so you can operate four mice at once.

I've got some ideas about how you could operate the fifth mouse, but I'm not sure if they're suitable for posting on GDNet [grin]

If one's an optical mouse I'll buy one off you

Yes, that would make more sense. Aren't I the stupid one now...[headshake]

I have a very clean and innocent mind, my mother doesn't want people like you from giving me ideas of where to use/put a 5th mouse... [oh]

Four optical, one regular balled rodent... 2 of the optical ones are also wireless, and I'm not sure i like them (they occasionally flicker/jump around the screen), so I might go back to my traditional optical wired rodent. Once I've worked that one out, I may well be able to do you a deal [wink]

You could invite 4 friends over and play Rag Doll Kung-fu which is available through steam.

Ypu could send me one :)
Currently, I'm using an old ball-mouse that fills up with goo every few hours. This makes playing FPSes and drawing in the GiMP very frustrating....
