I went out and bought a Bluetooth dongle for my PC, and after some faffing about I eventually got it working (conflict between Belkin's software and the built-in XPSP2 manager software). So I can now transfer pictures from my phone to my PC:

I write cell phone games on my laptop and send them via BT to my T610. I recommend you do the same.
