I recently flew out to Orange County California to take part in a job interview with SuperVillain Studios. The job I interviewed for was Tools Programmer. They made me a good offer and I accepted it. YESSSS!!! [smile]

I'm packing up my stuff and getting ready for a long road trip. My first day is less than a month away and I've got tons to do. Wish me luck.

It's about time. You have too much talent to not get a games job if you want it. Just a survey question.. did you apply from this ad?

Right on, man. Best of luck with that. But if you disappear from here, we will hunt you down and smash your knees with a sledgehammer, so don't get any funny ideas. Capiche? [grin]

Will do. They don't know that they hired a real supervillain. [evil]

I'm not going anywhere. GAMEDEV.NET is like my interweb home. Plus I like my knees. [oh]

I'll 2nd a slightly milder form of what he said [wink]

Do you know what sort of projects you're working on - I know it's tools, but any idea as to what those tools will be doing?

Can't say I know much about that studio... is it console, mobile and/or desktop type stuff?

*seems I'm a little late to the party though...

Max plugins, etc. - I'll know more after I start but I'm not sure how much I'll be able to share. We'll see.

Console. They've co-developed on a few of the Tony Hawk games and have had a hand in quite a few other console type things. I think you may see some PSP stuff too. They're still a young company. Learn more about them at their website. http://www.supervillainstudios.com/

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!
I too hope for a tools job someday... but playing with Max isn't my thing, I prefer shell-extensions and actual tools... good thing, otherwise I'd have to compete with the great Noaktree!! hehe
