Well, I was actually able to work a bit on Squarediana Jones today,
got movement, the whip, and the whip hooks implemented:

Now I need to get stuff to collect, levels, more graphics, and a title screen and I'll be good to go. So far it's actually pretty fun to play too, I think even if I don't finish in time I'm still gonna finish the game.

Had a minor set back described here. I'm such an idiot, big thanks to Dave Hunt for taking the time to look at it and see the typo that I could not.

Anyway, I have to work in the morning, so I better get some sleep.

Well, your journal is as good a literal example of an exponential curve as any I've seen. I am quite happy for you! In terms of education length I too have had a similar experience, due mostly to my not knowing what I want. I did half a year of CS, 1 and a half of CE and totally jumped the boat to do Pure mathematics. By the time I graduate it would have been 6 years.

Anyway, it is important to have someone in your life recognize your talent or it will be no good and useful to anyone, including yourself. I am glad that such has not been the case for you, I too am lucky in that manner as well. Here is to the best!

How is teaching going, I am going to have to start assisting soon and am quite excited at the prospect. I love to teach due in part to a selfish reason: it strengthens your understanding more thoroughly than anything else. The flash of understanding in the other is also warming to the self as well.

Heh, I guess it has been pretty exponential hasn't it :).

TAing is going pretty good, the semester is almost over now (1 week for Thanksgiving and then only 2 weeks of classes after that). The person I'm TAing for asked if I was going to want to TA for her again next semester, I of course said yeah so that's set up already. :)

For as nervous as I was before I started I feel pretty good about it now, I don't get nervous before recitations or anything. So if you're excited about it I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun. And you're right, you learn the material pretty well, I'm only TAing for a freshman level class, but because I haven't taken it myself for four years it's been a pretty good refresher :).

Thanks for reading, and good luck with your assisting :).
