That is, in addition to the frozen dead mice I have in there for KENNETH THE SNAKE. The rat is a pet rat that died two days ago. It had a long life of 2 and a half years, the other one is sad now :(
So I started coding up Hyrda some more. I now have triggers; much like the enginuity triggers, except these are all in C. I miss stuff like the STL and such, but coding in C is pretty neat. I suppose I could cheat and code procedurally in C++ but it seems to be missing the point somewhat...
This C basecode has got a fair bit of mileage, it's moved from the evoInvaders prototype to my 10 hour game "Birdgame", and finally being used in Hyrda. Each step it evolves a little more, losing a little something and gaining a lot more. Coding with a real game in mind really works (tm).
DAMN the new theme for ruining my journal. I'm not sure how I feel about it overall - time will tell I guess.
