In the beginning... there were Heiroglyphs!

The day has finally come - I am writing my first journal entry. I have been around gamedev for around 2 years, lurking in the shadows, asking questions, and slowly building my engine. I finally think that the engine is far enough along that I may be able to share some of what I have learned, so the journal entries are starting!

Generally speaking I only get about 1 hour per weekday to work on it, so I really try to focus and get as much done as possible in the time that I have. Hopefully I can continue learning and adding new functionality at the same pace that I have been.

Over the coming days, I hope to give some details on the design of my engine, Heiroglyph, as well as what I think is good about it and what I think should be improved. I plan to keep the posts to a more technical nature, but I am sure some other stuff will sneak in from time to time.

So anyways, I hope you enjoy the 'Chronicles of the Heiroglyph'!
