I guess I'm playing a little bit of catch-up here, but I wanted to add another video that demonstrates some additional capabilities in the engine. This is actually my 2004 terrain engine, and although this version was inferior to the current terrain system, the engine had good collision detection, lens flares, and the added ability to enter a ship, fly in the air, pull back kick on the afterburner and enter space, do a flyby of a space station, head towards the moon, land and walk around on the moon, then return to the planet. I don't think I'll be posting again for a couple weeks. I have some things I want to wrap up like the object model hierarchy class which should allow me to have entire forests and cities on the planet with minimal impact to frame rates. I'll update everyone when I have that part working.
