My idea for the game is when you start it up, you will have a list of worlds that you can pick from to begin with. Probably it will start with:
moon
alien planet
alien mothership
This list will be created after the program reads the world folder and lists all of the world files it finds. I don't know how to do this though...
Once that is working, the player can pick what world they want to play. Also, people can create maps and if you put your world file in the world folder, it will appear on the list.
A world will be a collection of short levels. A world file will have the name of the world, and the filenames of the level files.
I still haven't actually implemented any of this, but I'm planning to get seperate tilesets working tommorrow.
And yes, I should have another screenshot soon. I realize that I am way under the legal screenshot quota for a GDNet journal[grin]

You'll have to excuse me though, winter is gaming season for me (can you guess why?[smile]).
So far I've gotten 3 games:
Civilization 4
Sonic Rush (DS)
Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble (DS)
I had to patch Civilization 4 today. You see, I'm right on the minimum requirement line for the game. So far there has only been one major graphical bug, the movies are all screwed up. Besides that, it seems to work well. It pisses me off that I have to deal with this, because I really could care less for all the graphic improvements. I just like the gameplay changes they've made to the game.
Sonic Rush is now probably my favorite DS game. I really liked the Sonic Advance series of games, and Sonic Rush just improves on that. The game uses 3D models for the characters and 2D for everything else. It works really well, and I think it is the same method that they are going to use for the next DS Mario game.
Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble is also good. The origional Viewtiful Joe is probably my favorite game ever, so of course I picked this up. Unfortunetly they took out the fast motion and zoom powers for some other powers that use the touch screen.
Sonic Rush is definetly the biggest suprise, though. I was expecting it to be good, but it turned out to be really good. Probably just because I'm such a Sonic fan.
I haven't read up any much lately, but if sonic ever goes back to the insane speed, coin collecting roots, then i will give it a shot again. And I mean without all the extra bogus characters. Sonic and Tails are cool. Knuckles is pushing it =/
