Next up is the audio portion. I need to first actually download SDL_mixer so I can set it up for VC++. Than I'll finish the audio part.
I'm planning on getting some scripting support working, but this will probably be the hardest part. I'm going to reread the chapter in Game Scripting Mastery about existing scripting languages. I need to pick a scripting language I like for when I actually start creating the game. I'm leaning towards using Lua, because I've heard such great things about it.
I'm looking for a scripting language I can use to create the behavior of all the enemies and bosses in the game. If you have any suggestions for scripting languages, please leave a comment. Quite frankly, I don't know alot about it, but I'm very willing to learn.
EDIT: It seems Evolutional wrote an article on GameMonkey script. That might be a good choice for me.
