In Loving Memory

Crash, The Late Mr. Big (to your left)

Atleast we gave them two more weeks to live together... But Crash couldn't seem to handle living alone without Madiline. `,=0( When all you really have is gone, whats the point in fighting for? They're both in a better place.

D'oh, I'm sorry. We had two miniature hamsters that we loved a lot and lost, I know how it is. To lots of people, they're rodents. To us, they're pets.

The bad thing about rats are that they only average about two years until either bad things start happening to them or that they just pass away. My girlfriend and I agree that we need to stop housing rats as pets because the attatchment you gain, it feels like you lose it emotionally way to often. (Seeing her hurt, kills me inside)

So. As it stands, we have 2 other rats (One child from Crash and one other rat that Megan(girlfriend) saved from being snake food). We also have a prairie dog (lives ~8 years and is only 2 years old), and a new chihuahua that will probably be around for anywhere ~17 years (and is only 6 months old).

I'm glad that there are people that seem to understand that. Yeah, I had two buddies pretty much laugh it off this morning and I was pissed!

Yeah, when Cocoa died some of my friends were like "So? they're just rats, go buy another one." But they don't realize the attachment factor. Just like a dog, or a cat ... it's a family member. You take care of it and love it like a part of the family.

Unfortunately, our other hamster, Hammie, didn't have as easy a passing as Cocoa did ... my parents cat ripped her apart. One morning woke up to my wife screaming and crying. She didn't see Hammie in the cage and went to look, found pieces of her in another room. God damn cat.

Our two dogs died last year. One was 5, the other only a few months old. The latter one died in my arms after getting hit by a car.
