As usual, it looks absolutely stunning.

Something that keeps 'bugging' me though with each of your videos: you always start on (or near) a planet, and at the end of the video zoom out far away. I'm certain the video would have much more impact if you reversed this. Starting far away, and the zooming closer and seeing more and more detail.

The best of luck with your project, and I look forward to seeing more.

His way probably stresses the system less (much less work for the CPU to lower detail than to increase it).

I love that redish screen-shot.

One of these days I'm going to have to bill you for this constant damage to my jaw. Your journal needs a health warning.

Great screens as always, very, very impressive stuff. I'll grab the video when I get home.

Hey... so when are you planning on releasing a demo build of this? I've been aching to see this in person and see how it works on my computer for quite a while now. Any sort of ETA for a demo?

Wow....looks veeerry cool. Are you going to have a "light speed" effect? It would be great to fly through the universe at the speed of light, I'm sure that would be hell for your LOD/caching algorithms though [grin].

The video looks great, I can't wait to see future progress! Congrats on the interview/exposure as well.

Keep up the good work.

I think he said end of 2007 in the interview.

Pretty interesting interview, BTW. Elite was and is my favorite all-time game. Some of the comparisons to Elite and other features mentioned have built up yet more anticipation. =)

The reflections on the space station are AMAZING! Seeing it in real-time makes a huge difference. I like the particles although they give more of a "floaty" feeling rather than a fast-paced feeling. It brought to mind X-Wing where the space "debris" was in closer proximity to the players perspective, creating the illusion of speed rather than orientation. I guess it's a trade-off, really.

Well he said end of 07 for a playable version, or a demo that is more than just the tech demo. He did say late '06 for just a tech demo though, guess I should have read the interview before asking the question :P
