If your COM component that does video capture has blue people, you probably have the hue wrong in the capture filter. Even if you managed to get it rotated properly, and correctly decided to have the filter graph render through the preview pin instead of the capture pin, which is really only meant for those times when you are capturing a video and saving it to a file. I mean, really, who WANTS to make a MPEG-2 demultiplexer filter?

If the above disturbs you, avoid using DirectShow.
