As a Software Engineer, Test Infrastructure working with the Developer Tools team in Qualcomm's Advanced Content Group, you will be building software that empowers engineering teams to develop and deliver high quality products quickly. The ideal candidate will be focused on solving interesting challenges around building tools, test automation, and unit tests to validate Developer Tools software products and enable rapid development of product without sacrificing stability, quality, or code health. Prior application test engineering and automation experience for PC, mobile, and/or gaming console platforms is desired. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for Developer Tools
  • Develop and maintain a suite of automated QA systems for Developer Tools, and integrate automated tests into our build system
  • Work with end users in triaging problem reports and validating new features for Developer Tools on mobile platforms
  • Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability
  • Explore new technologies and tools to improve test effectiveness and engineering productivity, maintaining active ownership of the quality of assigned projects throughout the product's lifecycle. The environment is fast-paced and requires cross-functional interaction with a wide array of teams. Qualcomms Advanced Content Group builds developer tools and showcase experiences that leverage and demonstrate the Qualcomm Snapdragon processors multimedia capabilities. Our tools are used by app developers, game developers, partners, customers, and internal teams within Qualcomm.

Minimum Qualifications

6+ years in the following areas required:

  • Programming and software design skills with one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: C/C++, C#, Python, Java, JavaScript
  • Industry experience in development and/or test automation for games, tools, or a closely related field
  • QA test processes, methodology, and tools
  • Experience with continuous integration, build, and deployment tools and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Effective analytical and communication skills
  • Understanding of agile/lean software development practices
  • Experience with application performance analysis and optimization
  • Experience with 3D graphics applications
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, MacOS, and Android environments
  • Experience working with Mobile, VR, or Console platforms

Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science or related Engineering discipline
