Direct Input and debugging

I''m using DX8 input for the mouse, setting the coop level to DISCL_FOREGROUND | DISCL_NONEXCLUSIVE. I unaquire the mouse if the app loses focus, and re-aquire it when it regains focus. This all works fine until I reach a F9 breakpoint in msdev studio. When it switches to msdev the cursor becomes very jerky, and only becomes smooth after clicking in the editor window several times. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone know how to fix it other than not using Direct Input! Thanks Mark Duffill[The Jackal] Eurocom Entertainment Software

microsoft has addressed this issue and provide some details on how to fix it in msdn and directx homepage
