Hi, I am very interested in making a 3D terrain like the famous PS Game "Final Fantasy Tactics" presented by SQUARE. Firstly, I have some questions about its 3D terrain. Umm... How to do that? Can we think and discuss the method of doing it? 1. Is it a 3D tile based terrain? 2. How to implement it? vertex buffer, index buffer? also how to use textures mapping? I''m not sure about most of the stuff but it is definitly 3d and I think it is tile based

are you talking about when you rotate the camera and stuff? I don''t know how they did that. Maybe they rotated every tile at the same time at the same speed or something? I know it''s tile based. I watched that Extended Play show one time and they had the dude the programmed the battle engine for FFT, and he said it was tile based.
