Can DirectDraw 7.0 surfaces be of any size, or must they conform to powers of two? I can''t seem to get my program to work correctly using small surfaces (32x32 or 38x38), although it loads larger surfaces (640x480, 1024x768) fine. Does the video card have any effect on surface sizes? Thanks in advance, Mike

As I understand it the width of sufaces are often restricted. You often can''t have a surface wider than the current resolution. But I believe you can have them taller than the height of the resolution. So you just have to be creative when loading extra wide surfaces. You can load them in strips at a time to a number of surfaces.

Just because the church was wrong doesn''t mean Galileo wasn''t a heretic.
It just means he was a heretic who was right.
