shell extensions

i would like to create a shell extension for my map files to open them directly from the windows explorer. what do i have to change in my app when i want to pass parameters to it? (like the command line apps) and how to create the extention in the windows explorer thx --=[[TheMatrixXXX]]=--

In regard to shell extensions, search MSDN, take a look at CodeGuru and a few other sites. There are ample tuts available. The quick and dirty way to acommplish this is to associate your app with the file extension that you gave to your maps. Open Windows Explorer, go to Tools|Folder Options. Select the File Types tab and add your file type using the New button. For command line parameters, you''ll have to parse lpCmdLine from WinMain.
