Advice on advanced C++ book
Hi! I´m planning to buy an advanced book on C++ but I´m not sure which one to pick. I´ve already read Liberty´s Teach Yourself C++ in 21 Days six months ago but I´d like to learn about other topics which were not covered extensively in that book, such as templates and the STL. Some object oriented analysis and design material would be nice, too. I´ve been doing some research at Amazon.com and Stroustrop´s and Schildt´s books seem to be a good choice. Anyway, what do you guys recommend me? Thanks!
Effective C++, More Effective C++ by Scott Myers. When you feel confortable with C++ buy those books. They are quite good.

Stroustrop''s book is good if you want to know why a lot of C++ is the way it is. IMO, if you''re a serious C++ developer, this book should be on your bookshelf.

yes, Stroustrup''s definently. You will also want a book on the standard library. Jossutis seems to be what most people use. I have it, it is good enough. I have the first Meyers book. I guess I''d recommend it.
Ok guys, thanks for the advice! I think I´ll get Stroustrop''s book first. Thanks to all of you for answering to my post!
The obvious antidote to Liberty is Koenig & Moo''s Accelerated C++, which teaches the topics you mention. The other books mentioned are also good.
