Hi, I''m going to write a fully 3D RTS (real time strategy) game in DX. Right now I''m in the designdoc stage (not very far ). Anyway, I''m thinking about the way the map is drawn (& the technical stuff behind it). I can use some meshes for the map (this is easier when it needs to be drawn) or I can create a vertexbuffer which "holds" the map (ok, some info about it) (or, what it''ll probably be, multiple vertexbuffers). What should I use? The last option is harder to draw but it provides in-game landscape editing. What should I use? Anybody got some examples on it? (yes, I''m lazy)
