Geosphere creation algorithm

You can create a geosphere by recursively subdividing a icosahedron. You can find a simple example of the algorithm in the OpenGL redbook, page 58 et al.

yeah. listen to yann. the icosahedron can have it triangles subdivided like so:

/\
/__\ /\ /\
/__\/__\

Then you find the "dual" (planes turn to vertices and vice versa)
and you have a bucky ball (geodesic dome).

I''ve been wondering about the specifics for a while though. Thanx for that reference Yann.

heheh.. sorry about that pic, if fucked up obviously. I wanted to say that triangles were split up into 4 triangles (of equal dimensions).
