Sphere and lightning

A have a small screen with a light source and a sphere. It look ok, but when at scale the spare the light changes!. That is if I write something like this: glScalef(10.0, 10.0, 10.0) DrawSphere() This light is less intense. And if and downscale the sphere the light is more strong! Why?

Because when scaling, you not only scaling the vertices, you are also scaling the normals.

glEnable(GL_NORMALIZE) should solve the problem.
