i asked about writing my own rendering sphere function in the gamedev/ogl forums and got two responses. one was to draw a 2d circle and basically rotate it saving the points to an array until you have a sphere. the other was using recursion via a quadtree on a icoshedra. now im not all that advanced in opengl yet so id rather not get real technical with this (quadtrees are a no no =]) so if anyone could point me in the right direction id be grateful. also, if i were to use 2d circle how would i go about rendering the actual triangles? thats what im really stuck on =/ thanks
