Can I use DX8.0??

Was DX8.1 a bug fix or what? Is 8.0 still useable? I would use 8.1 by my Voodoo hates it for some reason. Any help is appreciated.

added features for the vertex / pixel shaders and some d3dx stuff.. i think directinput also updated.

directx 8.0 still works fine. dont need 8.1 at the moment.
