Can anyone recomend a good book for beginning to learn animation? I want to be able to make people move around (and learn how to make the people ) I have read "Special effects game programing with directx" so I know the basics of directx but I don''t know much about these .x-files or how to make the models move. Thanks

Any book on matrices will get you the basics you need to know on general translation and rotation. You can find that information just about anywhere. That''ll get your characters moving around in a simple manner.

However, for animation I would suggest Computer Animation: Algorithms and Techniques by Rick Parent. It''s pretty good... at least I like it.
