Are there any movie editors (mpeg, avi, mov) that allow you to join certain parts of other smaller movies and put music to it? If so where could I get it? Money isn't an issue here, I need something! Edit: I also want to be able to put images into the movie. Could flash play a real movie? I have it but haven't ever used it? [edited by - OU2000 on July 17, 2002 10:42:32 AM]

Try VirtualDub. Its small and free, and once you understand all the featuresy you''ll find its a very powerful video editing app. To do what you want to do use File->Append video segment to attach each piece of the movie, then under the audio menu select wav and to use an outside sound source. If your files are already compressed using the same codec then under video select Direct Stream Copy to avoid recompressing the video.
If money isn''t an issue: Adobe Premiere is widely used, costs around $550
