GL Fonts... how are you drawing them?

How are you drawing 2D fonts with OGL (bitmap fonts, texture fonts, ...)? I''m looking for the fastest font drawing method. Thanks.

Billboarded, texture-mapped quads with alpha blending. It''s reasonably fast, portable, looks decent and doesn''t go all screwy if the user wants to use stereoscopic hardware.

Thanks, I tought that the most of you use tex-mapped fonts, but I didn''t know.
