Specular lighting settings

I tried almost all possible settings to achieve specular lighting effects. Please list all the settings that have to be set to achieve the effect. Here are the settings I used: d3dDevice->SetRenderState(D3DRS_SPECULARENABLE, TRUE ); d3dDevice->SetRenderState(D3DRS_SPECULARMATERIALSOURCE, 0); here are my point light specular component (i want it blue) lPoint.Specular.r = 0.0f; lPoint.Specular.g = 0.0f; lPoint.Specular.b = 1.0f; lPoint.Specular.a = 1.0f; material spec component: mtrl.Specular.r = 0.0f; mtrl.Specular.g = 0.0f; mtrl.Specular.b = 1.0f; mtrl.Specular.a = 1.0f; what elese is there?
