how to set up multitexturing?

Ah I misunderstood. The textures are set for the stages and one of the default arguments for stages 1 and 2 are the TEXTURE. Ok, sorry, thought he meant about the FVF structure.
Looks cool though! I got my geforce today, I''ll have to finally implement that myself.

it looks GREAT, but i''m having trouble making my vertices stop connecting from one edge of the terrain to the other. it keeps making triangles with opposite ends of the terrain, making huge strips of lowres garbage through the pretty terrain
