Does anyone know how you can add animation in open gl? Kind of like how you do with bitblt in VB. Say i have have img1, img2 & img3 all sprites of one character walking, how could you animate it together?

i would load all your frames into textures, and then just bind the particular one to a quad based on the time of the animation.

Ive tried something like that, if im thinking the same thing you were thinking. Ive loaded them all as textures, then draw them over each other in the right order with a timing in between. This doesnt seem to work because its real flashy. Maybe you have a better idea of how to set up a timer in between them.
