hi all ! i''m currently working on a small BSP rendering engine to make my program a little more "indoor" my BSP-Tree seems to be ok, but now i have to place the portals automatically to make indoor levels much more fun to design, and because it would be very time consumming to do it manually ... But here is the problem, i have read many articles about BSP and portals placing ( including the 74 pages article that is on the site ), but it isn''t clear enough ... i don''t know what to do exactly with the "splitting polygons"... does anybody have a good explanation about this ? what should i do to place these portals ? what should i clip them with ? thanks to anybody who will answer me and those who will just read please forgive me about my english ... i''m frenchy
