Smooth camera movement regardless of FPS

How can I move my camera in a way that no matter what the frames per second (within reason obviously) the camera will retain a smooth motion? if(SUCCEEDED(XInput->IsKeyDown(DIK_A))) XView->MoveCamera(D3DXVECTOR3(1.5f,0.0f,0.0f)); this is the code which makes my cam move to the left, the 1.5f is the increment in which it moves. I need to find a way to make it move with the frames per second or something to that effect, I really dont know what to do lol
