DirectMusic Segment cueing and looping

Hi, I need to play multiple sound segments based on user interactions and I need the sound to be queued/buffered. I''m using PlaySegmentEx and have tried using the DMUS_SEGF_QUEUE flag which almost works except it loops the last segment. I''ve tried setting the repeats to 0 with no effect and I can''t think how to manually check when the segment has played once to stop it. Anybody help???? Cheers
