Screenshots are moderated for g o a t (you know...) and to make sure they are real screenshots.
I'll be working on the style of the site some more but I'd like to get a decent database of screenshots going in the mean time. Expect at least an hour or two delay from submitting to posting for rating.

Cleaned up the site a bit. You start with a random screenshot to rate but it's incremental from there. There's also no longer a redirect page. Submission and rating are each handled in a single page.

I just love this site.. such a simple idea, but very entertaining for some reason. 
I guess you have to be a developer to appreciate it.
2 suggestions:
- Randomize the first screenshot, but then increment them in order as you rate. Right now, I end up clicking the "Rate Screenshots" button numerous times until I finally find the shot I'm looking for. It gets annoying when the same shot comes up repeatedly. But it's still better the current way than always starting at 1, which would be unfair to the later shots.
- Don't you dare start with popups if traffic picks up!
Just an advanced warning. heheh.. I don't think I could get anymore frustrated with today's web than I am now.. it's nice to visit sites that don't dangerously raise my blood pressure. Just when you think a company site successfully conveys its professionalism, up comes a casino or intel popup in the corner. Nothing turns me away more than that because I know more will popup as I browse the page. I'm getting off tropic, time to go.

It randomly starts you off and then is incremental from there. You can now also post comments. There''s also a "pass" button that allows you to just move on to the next picture. You can still submit a comment even if you don''t vote.
The next thing I''ll be looking to add when I get a large number of screenshots in and traffic picks up, is a Top 10. There will be a minimum number of votes a shot has to get before it can be listed in the Top 10. At least 100 which is more than any of the shots currently have hence no Top 10 yet.
As for ads, I''d never use a popup on my site. In "DotCom" I have a banner ad and a text link ad for Dotster. The text link ad has a much higher click thru. None of the ads have made any returns so it''s not something I''m looking to for revenue.

Yup, those site are more for the masses than my site which is more of a niche site with a limited demographic.
I''m tossing around some other "Rate My..." ideas that I may implement later. The system I''ve written is really easy to maintain and duplicate.

I would strongly suggest providing direct links to the sites where the screenshots come from, not just the URL to the screenshot. Example:

I can almost guarantee you that after being impressed with a screenshot everyone wants to visit the site to download the game or see other shots or games. A direct link would be very helpful.

You can now submit a homepage URL along with the screenshot URL. I also added in a category field though I still need to figure out where to post that information in some of the sections.
