Better examples of DirectInput?

Hello, I have been reading through the code for the joystick example that comes with the DX8.1 SDK. I was wondering if anyone knows of some others? The code certainly shows how to effectively initialize and enumerate a joystick device, but I would like to see it applied to something other than a dialog box or other Windows objects. How do you effectively apply the polling results to 3D object transformations? What I really want to do is set up a user controlled camera. Thanks, 3CM

i cant remember exactly how the data is sent, but when you get the number representing how far it moved.

you will probably want to simply multiply this number by a scaling float and plug it into yaw (x axis) and pitch (y axis) as an angle.
