Dear people, i am not gonna ask how to use em, but what i do want to ask is if they are still usefull in bigger game programming... when you actually start using stuff like octree and things to optimize the engine by cutting down to what is actually in the view port... is there still a usefull way for these? because you need (as i guess of course) to use one for each texture in a part of the world which you just "sliced" into pieces , so i guess it does not optimize that much anymore then? cause you might use like 20 textures for each room (which might be a part for example) and each used 2 times.. is it still optimization then? GreetZ & Cheers
