How fast are we gonna go?

I was wondering, does anyone know how to query OpenGL to determine whether there''s going to be hardware acceleration or not? I''d like to be able to check that and fall back to software if necessary. Thank ya, Jonathan

If you use the function DescribePixelFormat it''ll fill a PIXELFORMATDESCRIPTOR struct. If that struct''s dwFlags member has the flag PFD_GENERIC_ACCELERATED, then you''ve got hardware acceleration.

If no hardware acceleration is available the system defaults to the software renderer automatically.
