I have been using the code from nehe''s lesson 1, and it has been working fine, but I wanted to know whether any optimisations could be made if only fullscreen rendering was neccesary (aside from deleting the stuff in the if statements). Nehe said that the windowed code was much harder, would fullscreen only code run faster?

There are probably some optimizations you can do but you don''t really need to do much to get it to run faster, as soon as you switch to full screen mode it just runs a LOT faster.
