OpenGL need opengl color chart

I need some kind of reference to show me the values of colors. I tired of messing with ambient, defuse, specular, material, etc.. I can''t never get the color I want. Please help!!

the opengl colors are simply Red Green Blue values that range from 0.0 to 1.0, and you can easily convert the 0-255 based colors that are used in paint apps liek mspaint for use in opengl.

you could always create a simple opengl app that has sliders and draws a quad. the sliders could affect the different colors and give your the values so you could see ectaly how the settings would look.

i assume you know what the different settings (ie ambient, diffuse, specular, material, etc) do. if not please see the documentation as its explained quite well. if you have done this, then ask a more specific question about them.

well, I have a program similar to the one you described but not using a slider. I''ll change to slider and see how that it work out.
