Hi all, If you monitor this forum regulary you might remember a discussion regarding gameinstitute''s courses, specifically the beginning C++ course. Someone asked me to let them know how it was going, well I have just finished week 3''s material (6 Week course). I have just covered classes, inheritance and polymorphism. This was by far the hardest week so far but after numerous re-reads and playing around with the supplied source code I feel I pretty much understand all what was covered. Next weeks stuff (available Thursday 15th) covers the game loop, win32 programming and class frameworks. Then its on to Direct X. I know some people say a good book would teach you more but I have tried learning from books and for me it doesn''t work very well. I use them for reference and to re-inforce what I know but reading through a 600 page book can get heavy going for me. The gameinstitute course is a better way to learn for me personnally. BTW: I am no way involved with the gameinstitue.com and this is not a plug, just thought some beginners might be interested in this. Darren

I am trying to save some coin to get in. I just confused with some coding and back to square one for me.

When the world has got you down, that''s when you strike back and show them who you really are.
