How do you determine the amount of bytes sent or received? For example, when Zone Alarm tells you the amount uploaded or downloaded. I want to make a little program like that in order to stay within my ISP bandwidth limit. A link, source code, or anything to get me started would be great. (Visual C++ or VB is fine) Thanks

I think you can get that information with PDH (Performance Data Helper), if you are using 2k/XP/NT.

Thanks a lot. PDH seems to be working fine on XP. Here are two links I found pretty good:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/perfmon/perfdata_4982.asp

and

http://www.microsoft.com/msj/defaultframe.asp?page=/msj/0598/hood0598.htm (outdated a bit)

Remember to put pdh.lib as a library.
