Hi! I have a simple x model with flat ground and a house on top. I use directional light like this light.Type = D3DLIGHT_DIRECTIONAL; light.Direction = D3DXVECTOR3( 0.5f, -0.5f, 0.5f ); light.Diffuse.r = light.Diffuse.g = light.Diffuse.b = 1.0f; light.Ambient.r = light.Ambient.g = light.Ambient.b = 0.3f; m_pd3dDevice->SetLight( 1, &light ); now the house is darken on one side, but why isn''t there a house shadow on the ground?

Is D3DXMatrixShadow a good sollution to create simple shadows?
I found one german example at google but I didn''t find it that good (maybe since I''m not german)
Can I create simple shadows without using a vertex shader?
