Is there an easy to use IDE for creating JAVA GUI frameworks quickly (I''m thinking along the lines of Visual Basic and Borland C++ builder)? Thanks.

Just remember that in order to use Forte or any other tool to build GUIs in Java, you really need to know how the GUI works.

Mac for productivity
Linux for development
Palm for mobility
Windows... for the Solitaire

I''ve used netbeans ( www.netbeans.org ) exclusivly for a while now and I am quite happy with it. Mostly for servlets / jsp, but I have worked on a couple gui apps over the last year. I would definatly have to recomend netbeans.

However, if your not fully USED to the way swing works, it might take a little learning before you can build decent gui''s with netbeans... but once you have that down, it makes it incredibly easy.
