When I use the glRotatef function, the object in question always seems to rotate around the origin (center) of the scene, as opposed to an origin (pivot) point for the object - how do I set this, or is there some better method for rotation?

To make it rotate around it''s own axi use glPushMatrix(), like this.

glPushMatrix();
glRotatef(...);
DrawObject();
glPopMatrix();
